2014
  • The 1st winner of "Raiffeisen Unihockey Night Wohlen 2014" in Wohlen, Switzerland with Kanton 3E team - 28 November 2014. Link
  • Became 1 of 126 AFS student exchange program who were selected from 9000 Indonesian students to live Switzerland for 1 year (August 2014 - July 2015)
  • The 1st city winner of English Speech Contest by Univeritas Islam 45 Bekasi (Manajemen Expo 10) - City level - February 2014. Link
  • KPBA - storyteller at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta.
2013
  • Storyteller in opening ceremony of "1st Asia & Oceania - Regional IBBY Congres" in Bali and one of the commitee (23 - 26 May 2013). Link.
  • Storyteller in "International Storytelling Festival" at Mahasarakham University, Thailand, and also act as one of the jury in local Thailand storytelling competition (31 January - 3 February 2013). Link.
  • KPBA - storyteller at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta (once in 2 months). Link.
  • KPBA with "Komunitas Jurnalis Mendongeng" and "Sahabat Anak" - storytelling for childrens of Jakarta flooding victims (Manggarai). Link.
2012

  • Supporting funding section for "Storytelling Festival X 2012" by KPBA (Asia level). I can't join the festival due to my activity in exchange program with Italian delegation, but I supported the festival by collected some funding for orphan kids to be able to see the festival. Link.

    The 36 - Unihockey Competition!

    I was join unihockey team of Kanton 2E (Kantonsschule Wohlen - my school in Switzerland). Then in November 28, 2014 we join "Raiffeisen Unihockey Night Wohlen 2014". It was an annual competition in Wohlen. Aaaaand we won as the 1st winner for male team! Yeeeeeaaay!

    Thanks to my new friends to ask me join this new sport :)

    The 35th - Speech Competition

    In February 12--13, 2014 I join a speech competition that was conducted by Unisma (Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi) in an event name "Manajemen Expo 10".

    In February 12, 2014, I passed the preliminary selection. I delivered a speech entitled "DO I Have To Say WOW If You Can Speak English?". As finalist, I was given a random topic that I must prepare for the final round, then I got environmental topic. Just had 3-4 hours to prepare it :(

    In February 13, 2014, I delivered a speech entitled "Say STOP To Plastic Bags". Then Alhamdulillah I won as the 1st winner.

    The 34th - 1st Asia & Oceania-Regional IBBY Congress

    This is may be the last performance of Bima Anggara in storytelling according to Bima's plan to develop his skill from storyteller to illustrator.

    May 23th, Bima Anggara performed as storyteller in opening ceremony of 1st Asia & Oceania-Regional IBBY Congress in Bali, Indonesia. Thanks to Dr Murti Bunanta, Inabby and KPBA who invited Bima.

    Bima peformed in front of congress's participants from around 20 countries. Bima performed after Made Taro (one of senior and great Indonesia storyteller) and then followed by Laras a Baliness girl. While others told Baliness stories, Bima told a West Java story. Those stories represented that Indonesia is a multi races country with rich cultures. Here are some pictures of Bima's performance:






    The Jakarta Post newspaper wrote:

    The 67-year-old children’s literature expert, who is also the president of the Indonesian Board on Books for Young People, is currently leading the inaugural Asia-Oceania regional congress of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) attended by 110 participants from 20 countries across Asia, Oceania, Europe and the US from May 23-26 in Bali. The IBBY is a non-profit organization with the mission to promote international understanding through children’s books. Murti established the Indonesian section of the IBBY (INABBY) in 1990.

    During the congress opening, Bali-based children’s author and storyteller, Taro, will narrate stories along with the younger generation of teen storytellers, Bima Anggara from Jakarta and Sri Ayu Pradnya Larasari from Bali.

    The 33th - International Storytelling Festival - Mahasarakham University, Thailand

    Bima join an International Storytelling Festival that was conducted by Mahasarakham University,  Thailand (31 Jan - 3 Feb 2013). Bima performed as one of the Indonesia storytellers.

    This is a short story about the 1st Mahasarakham University International Storytelling Festival.

    Bima Anggara join as one of international storytellers. Bima performed three times and also became one of the jury for local storytelling competition.

    Thanks to Dr Wajuppa Tossa from Mahasarakham University who invited Bima, and also to Dr Murti Bunanta from KPBA Indonesia who recommended Bima. GBU all.

    The 31th - Storytelling for flooding victims

    In January flooding hit Jakarta and around several times. Bima Anggara as a member of KPBA, join a social program to entertain the flooding victims, especially the children at Manggarai, South Jakarta.

    In this event, KPBA join with some social organization such as "Komunitas Jurnalis Mendongeng" and "Sahabat Anak" to tell stories, to arrange games, to give books and to read together with the flooding victims.
